| What to Expect: |
To be fully smartcard enabled, you need the smartcard reader software (Active
Client) installed on your computer.
On Friday, a copy of the HQ Quick Start Guide to NASA Smartcards will
be delivered to you. Please consult the guide for details about
installing the software and using your smartcard. The software installation
process takes only a few minutes on most computers. You have three options
for receiving the software:
- Download
and install, at your convenience, from the Software Refresh Portal (SRP)
- Leave
your computer at NASA HQ overnight to receive an automated evening push
- Receive
an automated daytime push

require a lengthy password. Instead, you use your 6-8 digit smartcard
