SecurID Token Required for Remote Access to Agency and HQ Systems
All HQ Employees
October 3, 2008
Many NASA applications and Web sites now require you to be connected to the NASA network to gain access. Some examples are the X.500 Directory, Travel Manager, NASA eOPF, and soon WedTADS. To connect to the network from outside the HQ building, you need a SecurID token. This token is a critical element for telework and continuity of operations during emergency situations.
A SecurID token is a portable device with two-factor authentication allowing you to access NASA resources remotely. A SecurID token is also required to use the HQ Wireless network from within the HQ building. New HQ users are issued a SecurID token as part of their standard accounts.

This token issued before July 2008 |

This token issued beginning July 2008 |
You have several options for remote access, all of which require a SecurID token:
You should contact the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) if:
- You do NOT have a SecurID toke
- You currently have a SecurID token but have forgotten your PIN
- Your SecurID token has not been activated, has been lost, or is not functioning properly.
You may test your SecurID token by logging into SNA at https://sna.hq.nasa.gov/. You will be required to enter your HQ UserID and your SecureID PIN + the 6 digit number on your token.
If you need help using your SecurID token, you may visit the User Resource Center (URC) in Room CX42 for assistance.
Should you have questions, call the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) at 358-HELP (4357) or 1-866-4NASAHQ (462‑7247) or send an e-mail.
