Accessing Advanced Features of Your Desktop VoIP Phone
All NASA HQ Employees
September 23, 2008
On the evening of September 26, 2008, the software that supports your desktop Voice over IP (VoIP) phone will be upgraded to enable future feature enhancements. There will be no changes to basic functions, such as making and receiving calls and collecting voicemail.
Advanced functions may still be accessed directly from your desktop VoIP phone or by using the Cisco CallManager Web site. After September 26, 2008, a few things will be different.
- Some advanced features accessed directly from your desktop VoIP phone such as Personal Address Book and Personal Fast Dials will require a UserID and PIN. To access these features, press the button above the word “Services.” Use the arrow keys to select “Log On.” Dial the numerals that correspond to your UserID, followed by 411. You will remain logged in until 1) you manually logoff, or 2) your phone is unplugged or reset due to maintenance work.
- Advanced features may still be accessed and managed online using the new improved Cisco CallManager Web site. However, due to the software upgrade, all passwords must be reset. Please expect a separate notification in the near future containing your new password. The first time you login with your new password, you will be prompted to change it. (NOTE: Your voicemail password will not change.)
