Entrust PKI Account Requests Now Processed Online in NAMS

Effective July 28, 2009, all requests for new Entrust accounts and modifications to existing accounts are now being processed in the NASA Account Management System (NAMS).  See How to Get or Reactivate an Entrust Account* for detailed instructions. Your request will be routed electronically for approvals and fulfillment. Please do not attempt to use the old forms NHQ 261 - Application for Digital Certificate, NHQ 298 - Agreement for PKCS-12 Export, or NHQ 262 - Request to Modify a Digital Certificate.

NASA and federal mandates require that users protect and ensure the safe transfer of sensitive information. In fact, you are personally as well as professionally liable for any breach of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) information. To safeguard data shared via e-mail, an Entrust account is needed to encrypt messages using NASA’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system.

If you ever handle PII or SBU information, you are strongly urged to get and use Entrust PKI to encrypt your e-mail messages.  It is important to use your Entrust account at least once every 30 days in order to keep the service active and available to you.
