The NASA CIO’s recent message to Headquarters reminds us that we are all responsible for effectively and efficiently managing federal records throughout their life cycle. This includes e‑mail, paper, microform, electronic, and audiovisual records. Civil service employees and support contractors play a vital role in ensuring NASA preserves institutional memory and remains responsive to Congress and oversight agencies.
You may learn more about the Records Management Program at Headquarters by visiting the Records Management Web page. If you still have questions about the program after completing the training, contact HQ Records Manager Patricia Southerland at (202) 358-0621.
