Test Your SecurID Token
All NASA HQ Employees
May 5, 2009

All Headquarters employees are asked to test the functionality of their SecurID token by May 8, 2009.  This will ensure you are prepared for upcoming Continuity of Operations exercises and are able to access NASA resources, such as WebTADS, remotely.

A SecurID token is a portable device with two-factor authentication allowing you to access resources remotely via the Virtual Private Network (VPN) or using Secure Nomadic Access (SNA). You should contact the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) if you do not have a SecurID token; have forgotten your PIN; or your token has not been activated, has been lost, or is not functioning properly.

  3. In the “Password” field, enter your SecurID PIN immediately followed by
the 6‑digit number currently displayed on your token.
  4. Click “Sign in.”

If you need help using your SecurID token, you may visit the User Resource Center (URC) in Room CX42 for assistance.

How to Access NASA Resources Remotely

You have several options for remote access, all of which require a SecurID token:

A limited number of printed copies of the November 2008 edition of the Remote Connectivity Guide are available in the User Resource Center (Room CX42).  The Guide can also be downloaded in Microsoft Word format from the Remote Access Services Web page.

Should you need assistance, call the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) at 358-HELP (4357) or 1-866-4NASAHQ (462-7247) or send an e-mail.
