Firefox 3.0 for Windows Redeployment—February 19, 2009
Beginning at 6 p.m. today, Thursday, February 19, Firefox 3.0 will be redeployed to all HQ Windows computers. Some Windows users reported issues with the Firefox upgrade that was deployed the week of February 9. This redeployment will upgrade Firefox 2.0 to Firefox 3.0, repair Firefox 3.0, and restore the browser bookmarks if they were unavailable after the earlier upgrade to Firefox 3.0.
If you are using Firefox when your computer receives this upgrade, your Firefox browser may close without warning. If this occurs, please wait 5 minutes before attempting to reopen Firefox. We apologize for this potential inconvenience.
If you are using a computer that is restricted from receiving automated updates, you will be contacted by a technician to manually perform this upgrade.
The look and feel of Firefox has changed only slightly from previous versions. Training or assistance with the new version should not be required.
Should you need assistance, call the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) <> at 358-HELP (4357) or 1-866-4NASAHQ (462‑7247) or send an e-mail to nasa-esd@mail.nasa.gov .
