The Enterprise Applications Services Technologies (EAST) contract is one of five procurements under NASA’s IT Infrastructure Integration Program (I3P). The EAST contract became effective February 1, 2011 and provides support to the NASA Enterprise Applications Competency Center (NEACC) which is aligned under NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). EAST services are comprehensive services for Enterprise Applications operations, maintenance, enhancement, and end-user support. It supports a broad range of key business and mission-supporting platforms, applications, and infrastructure used across the Agency, such as financial management, procurement, logistics, and travel management.
Marshall Space Flight Center is the host Center for the EAST program. The EAST service provider is SAIC.
Enterprise Applications
Over 60 applications and services are covered by the EAST contract. They include the following:
- Identity Credential and Access Management (ICAM)
- Human Capital Information Environment (HCIE)
- Integrated Collaborative Environment (ICE)
- Agency Core Financial system (i.e., SAP)
- Contract Management Module (CMM/PRISM)
- WebTADS time entry system
- Supply Management
- Real Property
Center Level Impact
The EAST contract replaces the UNITeS contract in providing support to the NASA Enterprise Applications Competency Center (NEACC). Unlike some of the other I3P contracts, the EAST contract provides support only for those enterprise applications currently maintained by the NEACC, and does not absorb other Center support contracts or require Center-level EAST contracts to be awarded. The one exception is the Integrated Collaboration Environment (ICE), which is an agency-level application that has been maintained by the Marshall Space Flight Center and transitioned to the EAST contract.
Help Desk Support
The NASA Information Support Center (NISC) is responsible for NEACC support and will continue to provide help desk support for NEACC end users. Migration to the Enterprise Service Desk is expected to occur at a future date.
